Gamer turns to drugs after one year of sobriety

In Intervention / Carefrontations / Scott and Jenny Graham

I met a 20 year old once again for an intervention yesterday after intervening on him more than a year ago for his gaming addiction. He did great for the past year, and remained in treatment this whole time. Unfortunately he changed addiction, and went to over the counter cough medicine. He used so much along with some sleeping pills that he overdosed, and was involuntarily committed. Once out he used again, and had another episode. His parents called me for help, and we immediately secured another program that dealt with substance abuse and mental health issues, and we got in front of him yesterday in a hotel room. He wasn’t surprised to see me, and we had a healthy talk. This wasn’t your normal intervention, it was like an individual session with the family.
